Fieldwork on the implementation of study on Determine HIV Early Detect (DHED) RDT in Nigeria

The fieldwork on assessing cost effectiveness of introducing a 4th Generation Determine HIV Early Detect (DHED) Test Kits to be used in Nigeria was conducted on the 24th, 25th and 27th January 2025. Four (4) Facilities were visited for capturing the data from person living with HIV/AIDS. The Facilities visited were:

  1. Federal Medical Centre, Guruku – Mararaba, Nasarawa State
  2. Nasarawa State Primary HealthCare Dev. Agency (NAPHDA), Mararaba
  3. Widow Against HIV/AIDS Foundation (WAAF), new Nyanya, Karu L.G.A., Nasarawa State
  4. General Hospital, Kubwa – FCT

The goal of the project is to assess the cost-effectiveness of introducing a 4th Generation Determine HIV Early Detect (DHED) Test Kits to be used in Nigeria compared to the 3rd Generation HIV Test kits used. A total of 230 respondents were interviewed.
